On October 23 and 24, 2026, the workshop “Workshop OSCAR: co-projecting research in veterinary sciences” took place at Centro Congressi Le Benedettine in Pisa, as part of the OSCAR (Open Science for Co-Creative Animal Research) project, promoted by the Department of Veterinary Sciences.

The initiative represented an important opportunity for discussion and co-design, involving researchers, practitioners and external stakeholders in sharing experiences, expertise and perspectives for the development of veterinary research.

The Veterinary Analytical Centre of Excellence (CAVE) also participated in the initiative, with a presentation by the Deputy Director, Prof. Alberto Elmi, who outlined the Centre’s activities and the expertise of its various Laboratory Units. The intervention provided an opportunity to raise awareness of the services offered, the analysis activities, and the laboratories’ contribution to veterinary research.

Participation in the workshop is part of the collaboration and sharing of expertise between the Department’s various entities, enhancing the role of laboratory facilities in supporting research and innovation.
