CAVE organises, develops, and manages analytical facilities to support scientific research, promoting strategic investments in technological innovation and the continuous improvement of laboratory activities. Particular attention is paid to the introduction and consolidation of quality systems compliant with international standards (ISO), ensuring the reliability and excellence of the services offered.

The Veterinary Analytical Centre of Excellence (CAVE) was established as part of the OSCAR Project with the aim of strengthening and coordinating the laboratory infrastructure of the Department of Veterinary Sciences (DSV).

Open to the local community and external users, CAVE serves as a hub for scientific collaboration, integrating academic research, businesses, institutions, and stakeholders to enhance knowledge transfer and support the development of veterinary research.

The Director of the Veterinary Analytical Centre of Excellence is professor Angela Briganti.
